Fall is traditionally the peak season for art shows.

The fall of 2020 is perhaps even more so; many artists have discovered extra studio time and solo inspiration during this pandemic. There is much artwork that is waiting to be shared and sent out into the world.
Some pieces are finished and many others are getting close – still needing those elusive final touches.

This module is for artists who are getting ready for an art show; it focuses on everything show related, be that a gallery show or an on-line exhibition. Actually, it will be helpful to anyone who is trying hard to put the finishing touches on those pieces that are needing just a little bit more.

  • Chapter 1: Becoming Extraordinary with Colour

In this session we will explore how two well know masters approach colour in their paintings. There are many lessons found in good paintings. You will then be guided through the process of using their colour tools to bring your own work to extraordinary.

  • Chapter 2: Becoming Extraordinary with Composition

Little composition elements can go a long way in helping you to bring your work to extraordinary. In this chapter, we will analyze work by two other masters – artists who focus on composition. Then apply their elements to bring your own artwork over the top and help you become the very best tour guide for your own artwork.

  • Chapter 3: Celebration!!

Artist receptions are so much fun! For hard working emerging artists, being surrounded by a packed room of friends, family and art enthusiasts brings on an unbelievable adrenal high. A celebration on steroids!! But how do we make this happen? Add in a pandemic? How can we gather? This chapter explores all kinds of opportunities, complete with “how-to’s” for making it happen. After all your hard work, other people need to see and experience your work.

  • Chapter 4: New Sprouts

It’s time to head back to your studio; your peaceful and happy place.
A fresh start, brand new canvas(es), you feel inspired and new ideas are sprouting everywhere! What direction to go now? After spending the past few weeks frantically putting finishing touches on your work, it is time to start fresh. In this chapter you will meet an innovative artist, and you will be encouraged to go forward in a new direction – a place where you have not previously gone. This chapter is complete with an exploratory exercise – time to sow some new seeds.
